Better Families Through Tae Kwon Do Certify Instructors

All our Instructor are professionals staff member who have been developed to offer the highest quality of Martial Art instruction.  Every member of our staff is approachable, caring and possesses a true love for teaching.  After taking just a few lessons, you will see why over 600 families have chosen Better Families Through Tae Kwon Do as their Martial Art Center.

Master Mary Beth Klock-Perez

Founder and director of Better Families Through Tae Kwon Do, she is dedicated to the betterment of each student, their families and the community. She has been recipient of the prestigious Diamond Award, 1996 National Instructor of the month, 1999 Martial Artist of the Year, and the subject of numerous magazine articles, and TV Shows.  Master Klock Perez is a 5th degree Black Belt under the Grand Master Jhoon Rhee System of Tae Kwon Do.  Master Perez have been directing Better Families for the past 19 years.

Grand Master Diego Perez

Grand Master Perez, a 8th degree black belt,  has been practicing the martial arts for over 35 years.  He was honored as being the youngest person in the USA to earn the rank of Master in the Jhoon Rhee System of Tae Kwon Do.  An undefeated Caribbean champion in Musical Forms and full contact fighting, he has also appeared in many films and TV shows.  Master Perez is a dynamic and dedicated instructor who has produced numerous State and National Champions.  He finds the champion on each of his students.

Karen Begley

Ms. Karen began her education in the martial arts at Better Families Through Tae Kwon Do since the school was first established (1987). Ms. Karen participates in as many activities as the school offers; always wanting to learn something new. She is a 3rd  degree black belt, who has been a certified Instructor since 2002. Ms. Karen has danced with a professional hip hop team for the past five years, and is currently attending Miami Dade College majoring in Business Management.

Derek Pascul

Beginning his martial arts training at the age of 10 years old, Derek Pascul is a Black Belt at Better Families Through Tae Kwon Do & a Certified Instructor under Black Belt Schools of America. With a keen interest in all martial arts, Derek is a vigorous instructor with a passion for passing on his knowledge and is dedicated to teaching his students with the goal of creating a stronger and happier community.
